Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

At Lux Nails, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you book an appointment or visit our website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

When you book an appointment or interact with us, we may collect:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address (for booking confirmations and reminders)
  • Service preferences and appointment history (so we can personalize your experience)
  • Payment information (processed by our third-party payment provider — we don't store full card numbers)
  • Photos of nail work, when you've given verbal consent for our portfolio or social media
  • Website analytics data (pages visited, time on site, general location) via standard analytics tools

How We Use Your Information

  • To schedule, confirm, and remind you of appointments
  • To respond to your questions and follow up on services
  • To send occasional promotional messages, with your consent (you can opt out anytime)
  • To improve our services and website experience
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with:

  • Our scheduling and payment processing providers, who are contractually required to protect your data
  • Government or law enforcement when required by Washington State or federal law

Photos & Social Media

We sometimes photograph nail work for our portfolio, website, and social media accounts. Photos focus on hands and nails — we don't include faces or identifying details unless you specifically grant permission. If you'd prefer we don't photograph your work, just let your tech know.

Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses essential cookies to function and analytics cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as well.

SMS / Text Message Communications

Consent to receive SMS is optional and is not a condition of submitting a booking. When you submit a booking request through our online booking form, you may opt in to receive booking-related text messages from Lux Nails by ticking the optional, unchecked-by-default SMS consent checkbox on the contact step. If you leave the box unchecked, your booking still submits and our staff will confirm the appointment by phone call to the number you provided. By ticking the box, you expressly consent to receive the automated text messages described below.

What we send: appointment confirmations once your request is approved, decline notices if a requested slot can't be accommodated, expiration notices if a request isn't actioned within our review window, and cancellation receipts. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this channel.

Message frequency: typically one to three messages per booking — most customers receive a single confirmation message per appointment.

Charges: message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier's plan.

Sharing of mobile numbers: mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes and are not sold, leased, or otherwise transferred to any unrelated party. We use a third-party telecommunications provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the transactional messages described above; Twilio is contractually required to protect your information.

Opting out: reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe immediately. To resubscribe, reply START. For help, reply HELP, or call (360) 713-5999. Opting out of SMS does not affect your ability to book by phone or in person.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the information we have about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to record-keeping obligations)
  • Opt out of promotional emails or text messages

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@luxnailsvancouver.com or call (360) 713-5999.

Data Retention

We keep client records for as long as you remain a client and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal and accounting obligations. Inactive records are securely deleted on a regular schedule.

Children

Our services are intended for adults and minors accompanied by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without parental consent.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Significant updates will be communicated through our website or email.
