SMS Messaging Policy

This policy describes the SMS (text message) program operated by Lux Nails (Lux Nails LLC) for customers who request appointments through our online booking form at www.luxnailsvancouver.com/book. It is provided in addition to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Program Name

Lux Nails Booking Notifications.

How You Opt In

We do not send any SMS messages unless you first opt in. To opt in:

  • Visit www.luxnailsvancouver.com/book and submit a booking request.
  • During the final step of the booking form, you provide your mobile phone number and check a required, unchecked-by-default consent box that reads: "I agree to receive booking confirmation and update text messages from Lux Nails. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on booking activity. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help."
  • You must check this box to submit your booking request. The box is never pre-checked.

Opt-in occurs only on our website. We do not collect SMS consent through any third party, and we do not import phone numbers from any other source.

What We Send

Messages in this program are transactional only and are tied directly to the booking request you submitted. Specifically:

  • Confirmation: sent once we approve your requested appointment slot. Example: "Lux Nails: your Sat 2:00 PM Gel Manicure is confirmed. Manage your booking at luxnailsvancouver.com/b/abc123. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
  • Decline: sent if we cannot accommodate your requested slot, with our phone number so you can call to find another time.
  • Expiration: sent if your request goes unactioned past our review window, inviting you to book again.
  • Cancellation receipt: sent when an appointment is cancelled at your request.

We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages through this program.

Message Frequency

Typically one to three messages per booking. Most customers receive a single confirmation message per appointment.

Charges

Message and data rates may apply, per the rate plan you have with your wireless carrier. Lux Nails does not charge you to receive these messages.

Reply HELP to any message, or contact us directly at (360) 713-5999 or hello@luxnailsvancouver.com.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe immediately. You will receive a single confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed, after which no further messages will be sent. To resubscribe, reply START or submit a new booking request and check the SMS consent box again.

Opting out of SMS does not affect your ability to book by phone or in person at (360) 713-5999.

Supported Carriers

Messages are delivered through major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, US Cellular, Boost, MetroPCS, Cricket, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy & Mobile Number Handling

We collect your mobile phone number solely to deliver the booking-related messages described above. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes and are not sold, leased, or otherwise transferred to any unrelated party.

We use Twilio Inc. as our telecommunications service provider to deliver these transactional messages. Twilio is contractually required to protect your information and uses it only to deliver messages on our behalf.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through our website.
